IMO it's no big deal and when you think about it, games of today can take longer to load! They can fluctuate from 10 seconds all the way up to 2 minutes. To me there are no cons, nut to some people this one thing is an issue. Compare that to $350 for the Neo Geo AES cartridge! They also don't take up as much real estate as the carts do. The game prices are great! You can buy a Neo Geo CD copy of Samurai Showdown II for under $50.

You can play games without region lock! FOr example, If you own a Japanese Neo Geo CD but own a USA copy of Metal Slug, you will be able to play it! Plus most gam es have English settings and some games will auto switch to your regions language.

The controllers are the best ever created! Buttons are responsive, and the joystick/pad works great even though its 20 years old! There are PS4 and XBox One controllers that barely live 2 years! SNK has always been about quality!
You can easily buy an adapter to play this on a HDTV, but I recommend using a CRT TV so you get the scanlines and play as if you are back in 1996. One is faster but not as visually-accurate, while one is more accurate but slower. PicoDrive v1.51b -> DOWNLOAD Theres a button bind to change rendering engines.
